Flexyskin

Technology

Bõln collections are made of Flexyskin®.

A proprietary technology based on a novel polyurethane foam from vegetable waste, which generates fluid and solid volumes, but with a surprisingly soft and fluffy feel.

Flexyskin®, a revolutionary new and environmentally friendly proprietary technique.

Our company policy incorporates a development-oriented plan through sustainable practices.

Organic origin

The raw material used in the Flexyskin® technique comes from vegetable waste and is certified by REDcert. It is an environmentally friendly and recyclable material.

Less resources

Flexyskin® technology reduces the volume of material used by up to 70% compared to other similar processes. Energy consumption is also lower, as its moulds allow for low-temperature manufacturing.

Less footprint

The polyurethane foam from biomass used by the Flexyskin® technology is also a very light material with a smaller logistical footprint.

Verified

The entire manufacturing process, as well as the sourcing of raw materials, is certified for quality, safety and sustainability in accordance with EN 71-3:2019 and ISO 9001 standards.

Surfaces that are both firm and soft to the touch; compact and organic. - We have developed the technology that makes this possible.

Flame retardants

The Flexyskin® material neither ignites nor spreads fire flames, a crucial issue in communal spaces. It has been certified to BS 5852:06 CRIB 5, UNE-EN 1021:15 and UNE-EN 1021-2:15 standards.

Waterproof

The surfaces obtained with the Flexyskin® technique do not become chalky due to water, which is why it produces products that are suitable for outdoor environments. Certified under the standards of UNE EN ISO 811 and UNE EN ISO 9227:2023.

Resistant

The Flexyskin® technique increases the strength of Bõln designs compared to other similar products. Certified under the standards of UNE-EN ISO 4892-2 and with the highest level in the UNE-EN ISO 5470-2:2022 test.

Antibacterials

The surfaces of the Bõln collections have anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties certified according to JIS Z 2801 (ISO 22196).

Easy to clean

The watertight, organically designed parts generated by the Flexyskin® technique facilitate frequent cleaning. Its maintenance process is certified under the UNE-EN 12720 standard.

Optimal for children's environments

The Flexyskin® technique is suitable for use in children's furniture. Certified under the standards of the UNE-EN 716-2:2018 standard.

Collections

The Bõln collections are designed to inspire design professionals to design creative and unique contract spaces.
